Australia has announced that it will import aviation fuel from China amid concerns over a possible closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
The Australian Prime Minister said in a statement that three shipments of jet fuel will be sourced from China to ensure uninterrupted fuel supply in case of any disruption.
He added that the decision was taken due to rising tensions in the Middle East and fears that the Strait of Hormuz could be blocked, which would impact global energy and fuel supply chains.
